Expressions of Recovery, a showcase of work created by area artists who have a brain disorder, clinical depression, or a substance disorder, will be on display throughout the month of May in the Dillard's concourse. Art therapy can be an important part of someone's recovery, and many use their art to express their feelings about their illness. Many of the pieces in the show are offered for sale.
An artists' reception will open the show on Monday, April 30th from 5:00 - 6:30pm. This marks the twenty-seventh anniversary of the show, which is free and open to the public. Expressions of Recovery is sponsored by The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board.
